A short break in Henrik's school calender brought us the opportunity to visit Nepal. Direct flights with Oman Air (3.5h) was another plus. We spend some time in Kahtmandu, did 3 days of trekking around the Anapurna and visited the national park of Chitwan.

After 2009, this was my second participation with the 'Nawras Team' of the Wahiba Challenge. With over 28 participating teams this was one of the largest crossing organised by the Ras al Hamra off road adventure club .

Our team had one Jeep Wrangler and three Toyota Prado's. This time around, no damage but a smooth ride through the dunes to the target destination in the middle of the desert - the camp.

New Swedish passports can only be applied and picked up from embassies. Closest from Muscat is Abu Dhabi. On my way to the Airport I passed the new Sheik Zayd Mosque. Impressive, but a bit too "baroque" for my taste.
